Demolition derby

An arena event where drivers collide in older cars until one is still running.

An arena event in which drivers deliberately collide in older cars until only one vehicle is still moving, usually staged in a fairground's main ring or in front of the grandstand. Heats run by vehicle class and the field is narrowed to a final. It is among the highest-attendance single events at fairs that hold one, but derbies are not universal, so check the individual fair's schedule rather than assuming.
