A molasses crumb pie associated with Pennsylvania Dutch baking, built from molasses, brown sugar and a flour, butter and sugar crumb. Wet-bottom and dry-bottom versions differ in how much of the molasses layer stays liquid beneath the crumb, and bakers hold firm opinions about which is correct. It commonly turns up in baked-goods competition classes and at farm market stands across southeastern Pennsylvania.
